Handwritten Notes

Dear Lord, thank you for this new day. It is a beautiful day and I’m grateful. =)

“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be purer and blameless until the day of Christ.” -Philippians 1:9-10

“It is impossible to despair for the man who remembers who his helper is.”

I like my business with an appointment setter and personally explaining the business, rather than using conference calls. It something of the way Leonard did it, and with that I’m happy. I know I should put up the $5000 sales letter. =) (But not today. It’s Sunday, and for the first time in a long time, I’m trying not to work.)

Now I would have to change the script if there’s no conference call… Retrain the appointment setter… Retrain myself. =) ask the appointment setter to book appointments for me to talk with them personally. Dani script, how did I used to do before? I used to simply answer questions. Leonard would tell a long story… And that would be most of the time work.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” =)

“You cannot love trouble for its own sake. Bitter is always bitter and pain is always pain. Yet, for the blessings that suffering brings, God often sends it. Suffering leads us to cling to Jesus, to hide deeper in the rock, to be still and know that he is God and above all else, produces an experiential acquaintance of Jesus – a fuller taste of his sweetness. There is a great want about Christians who have not suffered. -Robert Murray MacShane, Scottish Preacher, was sick most of his life, died at the age of 29

Handwritten Notes

Thank you for such a beautiful day. =) Please help me know how to build my business on Monday if there are no leaks to buy. Dear Lord, I am tired of going after money. I want to do your work. (John, right now you are doing my work, I want you exactly where you are, doing exactly what you’re doing.)

(John, you are finally getting there, to where I want you to be. Yes, I want you to use leverage, but also want you to serve people, I want you to connect with people and work hard. I want you to succeed, but not too quickly…)

“I built my business for one reason above any other, but generally it was specifically for this reason. I wanted –I felt compelled to sponsor missionaries that would go out and reach people for Christ. This is why I build my business and was driven forward day by day.”

“The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for there foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.” -1 Corinthians 2:14

[some finance notes]

What is my time here for? Who am I here for? God or myself? Will I use this life to advance myself or the kingdom? God’s kingdom. God’s kingdom.

[more finance notes]

Dear Lord, this is all in your hands. All my life is in your hands. My life in the service of others. I am grateful for how the car was resolved today, and how it will be a blessing to Ro as well. My personal debt is almost down under $40,000. =) that’s good progress. I’m not going to get on the phone with more people. I don’t like short qualifications and then follow up. I will do what my strength is. I will track my numbers.

Handwritten Notes

The brand new day. =) Today I am looking to eat much healthier, a fast of kinds, starting with carrot juice. No more burgers, no more pizza. I am grateful to be going to school at liberty. I am grateful to have my business also. I am grateful to have my nonprofit also. =)

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” -Matthew 6:33

Next week my fronter starts and therefore I also start the calls, in the evening. =) Brave new world. This is something I’ve never done before. I think I should also by some leads myself, and start calling. =) $660 for a 80 leads. I’ve successfully generated some Dani leads, and they were not $8.25 =) Make just five sales a month and it’s a start. To pay for the mortgage year, it is just $1000 extra. Remember that $3500 is coming in on the 15th. Take care of your family. For this I will bless you. Yes pay off the mortgage. Start with the smaller. Put money in the bank. Build the business. Give money away. Start Sponsor A Missionary. It’s not too much for you. And pay off debt.

I don’t need the books or the courses. I don’t need the extra things. Just the seminars once a month and then focus on more traffic. =) get 200 leads a month… And then share the number for the evening calls. Study traffic and conversion.

(This time is different. This time you have learned much, but you still have much to learn. Be patient, be content with what you have. Do not eagerly pursue the money. What I want to bless you I will, you need not go after it.)

“For we know him who said, ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ and again, ‘The Lord will judge his people.’ It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” -Hebrews 10:30-31

I like the idea now of taking my time to wait on God’s time to grow and move forward. =) I am grateful to be where I am right now.

“It has been my observation that most people get ahead during the time that others waste.” -Henry Ford

My job is to recruit people. Moving forward one step at a time. Next step is to… What about going back to regular prospecting myself? Don’t abandon your hard-won plans so early. Read the rest of this entry »

Handwritten Notes

Thank you for giving me this new day and for burying my sins at the bottom of the sea. Thank you for giving me a future and a hope.

“My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.” -1 John 2:1

What is my plan for never again incurring a bank fee? Keep the minimum amounts in the accounts and never go below the minimum, that’s all I can think of…

The thing that distresses me right now is my sister. We got into a fight last week and now she won’t talk to me, hugged me or anything, for more than a week now. I am sad over this. I’ve asked for her forgiveness, asked for her to be a friend again, but nothing. Father, please help me mend our relationship before she and I forgets what it was ever like.

I am happy about applying to Liberty and pursuing a degree that way. I am happy about how trading promotion has gone and I am happy about continuing to work with options university and my new business, but all is for naught if I am hurting because of my sister. (John, keep going, love your sister but do not put your focus there. Put your focus on me, focus on Sponsor A Missionary, focus on your work and your relationship with your mother. Don’t dwell on the struggle.) Read the rest of this entry »

This is a great day moving forward. This morning I applied to Liberty University with my mom’s help from a borrowed application fee. I am also investing an hour in Bible study starting with the New Testament.

The year is almost over. Wow.

Handwritten Notes

I am grateful for the latest trading promotion which has produced so far $2400 in commissions and another approximately $1500 over the next two months as well. What a blessing that is. I just received the $200 back from sage. $40.00 went to articles, but $160 for mains. What is the wisest way I use this? Hang onto it, John. Use it for your application. =) Okay

I am happy in part because I decided that I’d make my mom happy and get a degree from liberty. I can get probably 80 to 85 credits from CLEP tests and then completed agree by distance learning. I could even get an MBA if I wanted for next route $12,000, plus a year or two of distance classes. So with the CLEP tests and the distance learning I could finish and about 18 months. Maybe three years total for an MBA or less. =)

“I have found that being honest as the best technique I can use. Right up front, tell people what you’re trying to accomplish and what you’re willing to sacrifice to accomplish it.” -Lee Iacocca

Success in this business assembly, regardless of the system, about exposing lots of people and then enrolling them. —

I wrote Brett about wanting to continue working for him. It means $2000 a month. If it your will, Lord. =) I am thinking that there’s no need to rush growing the business. One step at a time is the way to go. Read the rest of this entry »

I am looking forward to the fall with the changing leaves and the cooler weather. I am looking forward to buying a sweater for the fall. I am looking forward to starting back to Dani’s seminars again and then also to getting on the phone with more people. I am looking forward to making sales and getting my income up over $20,000 a month, Lord willing. =) I am looking forward to saving and putting money in my bank account and then paying off debt as well. =)

Handwritten Notes

I will form good habits and become their slaves. This can be a long frustrating life, or it can be a fun one filled with passion and purpose. I can tell you that you won’t be content with your work until you find yourself on mission trips. There’s a purpose for your life beyond work, the work you’ve been focused on. When you start making sales, when you start talking to people again, you will feel 10 times better. When there is energy and service you will be happy.

I would start making calls at about 6:30 PM and then finished maybe 10 or Levin pm in the evening. =) plus oh would follow up during the daytime as well.

September 21, 2007

I just received a check from the McKinney’s for $200 and I’m thinking, how can I accept this? I guess it’s because I called David and mentioned not cashing the check because of the Dallas trip that set me back. But I’m thinking, this is the family that I’m pouring into, that I want them to go to India – what do I do with this money? (put it in the bank and take care of it, steward it and use it to grow your business). But what a blessing it is. What a blessing. Thank you Lord. Please direct me on how to use it. (Do nothing with it right now – be patient.)

Handwritten Notes

I am grateful for this new day. I did just ruin another relationship though. With Stephen, I emailed my feelings about the WM payment and to no end, it still did not help. Maybe he would have helped with Sponsor A Missionary in the future, probably not now.

[business notes]
