I just watched one of the best movies I’ve ever seen, and surely now one of my favorites. It is ‘You Can’t Take It With You,’ an old movie with James Steward about a family who lives life like it matters and a wealthy business man and his family. The daughter and son of these families want to get married until the greed of the business man tears everything down. Eventually he is brought down and humbled. What a wonderful movie, that of course reminded me that I can’t take anything with me. ‘For surely we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that we can take nothing out of this world.’ This reminds me to focus on God and his work and what he would have me to do. I am grateful to have seen this movie.

Currently I’m looking to take my JohnRoney.com website and just simply turn it into a blog, no business mention and then just write about the Lord I think. =) and about life too, I suppose. My heart is for mission work, there is no doubt about that in my mind. I will continue to work to support myself and help others and give back to you Lord, but you know where my heart is. =) You know how I want to serve you. I give my life back to you, Lord. I am yours to be used for your glory. I want nothing else. =)

How interesting – I was just in the shower and started thinking of what it would be like if I became an intern for Jay Abraham, and how people would look at me as successful. I imagined them saying, ‘wow, he worked for Jay Abraham.’ Then I thought to myself, it would be a thousand times better, but I would not receive the recognition being a missionary and working for the Lord. ‘Wow, he works for God,’ just wouldn’t seem to merit such a response on other people’s behalf. But wouldn’t the honor be a thousand or million times better? I would say so – in fact, there is not even a comparison to be made. But serving the Lord is not a glorious occupation. People won’t cheer for the missionary that serves the Lord (there will be cheering in heaven though). So I must conclude that if we are looking for the acclaim of people on this earth, chances are we’re not fully serving the Lord with our eyes on him, and if we are serving the Lord with our whole heart, chances are few that we’ll receive human praise. How then shall we be content with the praise of the Lord and the hosts in heaven? Maybe we can put it this way, what could be greater than pleasing the Lord God Almighty?? After all, human accolades only last for a brief time here on earth, but God’s praise echoes through all time. =)

Dear Lord, I bring these plans to you to ask for your will in my life. I’m planning to start slowly into building sites for trading so that I may achieve traffic and affiliate sales with options university and profits run. I give these plans to you, for your glory and I (I give them back) only ask for them back if it is your will, and will be for your glory, and not my own. Thank you, father. I praise your holy name. =) Read the rest of this entry »

A Heavenly Strategic Planning Session by Os Hillman

And the Lord said, “Who will entice Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?” One suggested this, and another that. – 1 Kings 22:20

There are few times we get a glimpse of what goes on in Heaven. Here is one instance when the angels were conferring with the Lord about the judgment of King Ahab for his sin and who was going to set up Ahab for this judgment.

If God wanted to use you to impact your world for Jesus Christ, what circumstances would have to be created in order for you to respond to His call? Would prospering you materially encourage you to this end? Would a major change in what you are presently doing be necessary? What would your response be should God and the angels conclude that the only way to move you into a position of fulfilling God’s purposes was to remove some things that might be very dear to you? Would you agree with their plan if you knew this would be the only way you would achieve the purposes for which God made you? Hard questions, aren’t they?

This is the very thing God does in many who have been called for a special mission. Moses had to be stripped of his royal position in the family of Egypt and sit in the desert for 40 years. The apostle Paul had to be knocked to the ground, blinded, and receive a personal visitation from Jesus. The 12 disciples had to leave their jobs for three years to follow Christ. Imagine what kind of disruption this had on their lives. There are many examples of God bringing major upheaval in the lives of those He called for His purposes. Why?

The reason is that we do not seek God with a whole heart in times of prosperity and comfort. Prosperity and comfort tend to breed complacency and satisfaction. It is rare to find the man or woman who seeks God with a whole heart who does so simply from a grateful heart. We often must have pain or crisis to motivate us. Eventually, that crisis bridges us to a new calling, and we embrace that calling if we are open to the Holy Spirit’s work in us. We can actually thank God for the change that was required to get us to this place, but it is not without anguish of heart.

“Freely you have received, freely give.” -Jesus

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” -Colossians 3:16

I guess the shower business idea of the morning was this: keep traders edge online and going. Hire out the creation of a highly converting page like Brett has, post it, drive traffic to it, and sell and eve book after a free report opt-in. Or make the report specific to something like Volcone and use that as the sales page. Have videos made about it and also build a custom block. Also, the name should be a name like TrentSteel.com with a picture of a successful man, build a name, not mine.

Dear Lord, please help me always be ready and on the lookout for your return. Help me not place my trust in money, but only in you. =)

“Keep watch because you do not know the day or the hour.”

I really needed this one today. It is perfect for how I was feeling towards Aaron with his language. I am at the point now where I just do not want to spend time with him. But I know that’s probably what you want, Lord. I know you would have me to be a witness for him if you open up those opportunities. Please continue to drawn him in to you. Please use me in any and all ways you can. =) Please continue to shape me into a soul-winner for you.

“Dear God, please forgive me. I sometimes look at those I see and get frustrated by the way they are. Some are angry and act ugly and even curse. Others have no desire to do what is right. Some just want to “party” and live like the world all the time. Some are lazy. Some are hurting and holding on to bitterness. I don’t always understand why they are that way. Then I, in my frustration, become angry and grumble. Forgive me for my ungodly attitudes and complaining. I am sorry. Help me to see the potential in others and to pray for them more and criticize them less. I pray that through my prayers to you and through my Christian testimony and example and through my words and deeds, these people would come to know you or come back and lay their issues on the altar. I pray that we all will lift our burdens to you and drop them at your feet, so that you can take them away and guide us in the way everlasting. Please relieve our griefs and burdens and replace them with your peace. Please bless us as we serve you. Please help us and pick us help when we stumble. Thank you for your mercies. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.”

Dear Lord, I am so grateful for you, and your ways. There are so far beyond my understanding. But I delight in you. =) whether I have a little or whether I have a lot, I am happy and content in you. I will not chafe under your decisions. =)

I have felt it definite temptation for picking one of my all businesses, and even just writing out all the things I can do, and thinking that, that is how I would make money that I need for real estate.

“Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.”        -Psalm 37:4 =)

(John, will you give up money and financial success for me? Will you serve me and make me number one in your life?) Yes, father. Please show me how. In bed yourself as the priority in my life. I will give up what I have for you. I’ll give up the pursuit of money. =) For you, Lord. For You.

I am looking forward to reading again the story of Joseph in Egypt for 13 years in prison, from age 17 to 30, and then the Lord began his public service. =) Joseph had patience, not that he had much choice in prison, yet he always remain faithful to the Lord. =)

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as the Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in him, strength and in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” -Colossians 2:6-7

I would like to start investing at some point, I believe, but if it’s the Lord’s will. =) I am in your hands Lord. I (Yes) think I should ask my mom about getting prequalified for a loan [maybe up to $50,000 only]. =)

I think the only other thing I might need to to make offers is the $1000 earnest money deposit. That I could probably save from the next affiliate check and for borrowing from someone, maybe Aaron or mom or Ro. I am grateful to have good friends. I am grateful for you dear Lord, my Rock and my Provider. You supply all my needs. =)

I would honestly like to get some more money in the bank accounts. Now I don’t have enough for the hotel in Atlanta. But I am thankful for this place where I am right now, which is dependence on the Lord. I depend on you, father. I depend on you. Read the rest of this entry »

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues to roll generations.” -Psalm 100:4-5

While reading the book, Become a Better You by Joel Osteen, I’ve decided to end my work relationship with options university, that is, but one door closes so that I can stop focusing on that closed door and begin searching for the new door that God will open (or has already opened that I have not yet seen). I will persist and look forward to what’s next. =)

It feels good to let that go. Thank you, Lord. I know that was in your plan as well. Your guiding the ship called my life. You are my North Star. =)

I’m looking forward to now recording the Bible and sin of typing out. My goal is still to get to the end. =) that is my project for the rest of the year. I would like to finish by the end of the year, or better by Christmas. I am so grateful that I have this audio Bible. I am starting to listen to it again also. I am searching for wisdom and a breakthrough. (John, I don’t care how you go through my word, so long as you do go through it and take in what you’re hearing, reading, saying, typing.) Yes father. =)

Genesis Chapter 2: I don’t know how long Adam and eve work in the garden, but I can only see them doing two things: naming the animals and then sinning by eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge and then passing down the blame for the act when God confronted them about it. Plus Adam was right there with eve when it all happened, but yet he said nothing. Read the rest of this entry »
